Warsaw man arrested after burglary attempt
Last month Phillip Davone Troublefield, 23, of 175 Tarheel Estates, Warsaw, is behind bars after breaking into a house that was occupied on West Bay Street.
The woman hid in the closest and called 911 until police could arrive.
Warsaw patrol cars were in the area and to their fortune; a vehicle was left in the driveway that did not belong to the victim.
Shortly, thereafter, Troublefield turned himself in.
Troublefield was charged with first-degree burglary, larceny after breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods.
He was placed under $50,000 secured bond.
Warsaw Police Chief Mike Webster said kudos go to the guys on patrol. “In this case it was crucial that we got to the scene within minutes of the call.”
Apparently the suspect heard the sirens and left the scene rather abruptly — leaving the vehicle he was in behind.
