Richlands woman steals neighbor’s identity
Wanda Lynne Starr, age 36, of 116 Appleton Lane in Richlands was charged Oct. 30 by the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office with 33 counts of identity theft and two counts of financial card fraud.
Susan Heath of Richlands discovered charges made to her Sears and Target credit cards. Heath stated that she thought Starr was responsible for the identity theft because Starr was bringing mail to Heath. Starr is accused of using the cards to obtains services and merchandise over a six month time span.
Starr intercepted Heath’s credit card bills so that Heath was unaware of the charges being made.
Starr was arrested and charged and was released on a $44,000 unsecured bond.
